The short bowcaster was a type of bowcaster produced by the Wookiees.
This version had shortened stock, and was equipped with quarrel autofeed mechanism and automatic recocking systems. Unlike the more common bowcasters, short bowcasters had the polarizers positioned at the front of the barrel.
